Counselling and psychotherapy in Hertford
I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist with a private practice offering therapy and clinical supervision face to face and via Skype.I work with clients through a range of difficulties, including:
It's never too late or to early to address problems - although an absolutely normal part of feeling bad, is one's brain telling us 'there's no point'. In fact, facing difficulty can help us develop more than we'd imagined possible - it's nearly always in trying to block feelings that our worst difficulties, loneliest feelings, and most problematic behaviours arise.
Human beings change and develop all the time: if you're stuck, and you're committed and courageous, you don't have to stay stuck. In therapy, I walk alongside clients in their unique process of 'turning towards', building confidence that although tackling problems is hard, it is also endlessly surprising, joyful, funny, and illuminating.
My approach is warm, humane and lively. I learn as much from my clients, as my clients do from therapy. I trained in existential-phenomenological therapy but I incorporate elements of other therapy approaches to my work.
My fees are £70 per hour for individual therapy or clinical supervision, and £90 per hour for organisational consultation or clinical supervision.
